Steelhead on the Spey Guide Service

Steelhead on the Spey Guide Service specializes in guided and instructional fly fishing trips for steelhead in Northern California using two handed Spey and switch rods. We fish for steelhead in the traditional down and across method, targeting the most aggressive fish in the river. In the summer and fall our focus is on dry line steelheading on the Trinity River and Klamath River, fishing predominately dry and wet flies on or near the surface. This is floating line fishing at its finest! In the winter months we shift our focus over to the famous rivers of California’s North Coast. We focus our attention of the Eel River, South Fork Eel River, and  the Van Duzen River in search of chrome bright, hard fighting winter steelhead. Whether you are a beginner of an avid steelheader, Steelhead on the Spey Guide Service provides you a day of fun steelheading.
